Hi, I’m Amy!
I am a licensed acupuncturist and somatic guide based in Hancock, Michigan.
I specialize in trauma-informed care, creating safe and supportive spaces for healing and growth. I’ve worked extensively with veterans and am passionate about providing personalized, attentive holistic care.
In addition to acupuncture, I’m the founder of The Permission Project — a resource for high-capacity people who are always reliable, always capable, and quietly carrying more than anyone knows. My work there explores what I call the invisible load: the emotional, anticipatory, and practical responsibility that builds up when you’re the one everyone depends on. You can find my primary content for that work on TikTok @PermissionProject.
My work is inspired by a love of Chinese medicine, the natural world, and my personal transformations through challenges in my own life including childhood trauma, codependency, solo parenting, raising children with disabilities, and entrepreneurship.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me exploring the beautiful shores of Lake Superior, in the woods foraging wild mushrooms, spending time with my Doberman Boris, reading or listening to books, and generally creating or learning something to enrich my life!
